When will the Formula 1™️ Turkish Grand Prix 2021 take place?

The event takes place over three days, beginning with Practice sessions on Friday 8 October and Qualifying on Saturday 9 October.

The Race will take place on Sunday 10 October.

Who will compete in the Formula 1™ Turkish Grand Prix 2021?

20 drivers from 10 different teams will be taking part. That includes previous world champions Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton. The race will also feature future championship candidates including Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and George Russell.

Will COVID-19 precautions be taken at the event?

A number of safety measures will be taken, within the scope of the Turkish Ministry of Health, and the FIA.

Social distancing – All areas have been designed with consideration for social distancing.
Hygiene – Hygiene points are located in all spectator areas, and areas will be disinfected regularly.
Masks – Masks are mandatory in order to enter Intercity Istanbul Park, and must be worn t all times. Checks will be carried out at the entrance and inside the venue. 
Temperature checks – Temperatures will be taken on entrance to Intercity Istanbul Park and if your temperature is below 37.5 degrees you will be permitted to enter. If your temperature is 37.5 degrees or above, you will be held for a few minutes before being tested again. If it is over 37.5 again, you will not be allowed to enter the venue.

Is there an age limit for the Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix 2021?

Spectators under the age of 18 can attend the event with an adult, or with a letter of consent from a parent or guardian. Children aged 6 or under can attend without a ticket, as long as they are accompanied by a ticket-holding parent or guardian.

Can I travel to Turkey?

Travel to Turkey from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia is currently allowed. See below for further details.

United Arab Emirates – Fully vaccinated visitors can enter Turkey with no restrictions. Unvaccinated visitors can enter with a negative Covid-19 test result.

Saudi Arabia – Fully vaccinated visitors can enter Turkey with no restrictions. Unvaccinated visitors are not currently permitted to enter.
